Leadership: Rep. Boyd has a history of supporting clean water legislation and in 2005 was an original co-sponsor of legislation to protect Florida’s coast from offshore drilling. In addition, he has actively supported the bipartisan H.R. 1091 (‘Save Our Shores Act’), testifying before the Subcommittee on Energy and the Environment on the harmful effects of red tides. His position on the Appropriations Committee and his support of coastal water issues makes him a valuable friend of the oceans. Rep.
