the U.S. Congress to ensure ocean health through electoral and legislative action.

Hey Champs, Be the Blue!

Be the Blue
At Ocean Champions, we are invited to many wonderful events. But, when we heard about the Blue Vision Summit, we not only said "We're In!" we said "YES!" to becoming a sponsor of this incredible gathering. From March 7- 10, 2009, in Washington D.C., as an Ocean Champion, you are invited to join hundreds of Fellow Ocean and Coastal Leaders, Blue Groups, Scientists, Surfers, Fishermen, Businesses, Educators, Clergy, Youth and everyone in between, as we gather to turn the tide for our oceans.

The Blue Vision Summit is designed to:

Our own Blue-Visionaries, President, David Wilmot, and Jack Sterne will be moderating panel discussions on advancing federal ocean policy and ocean energy, respectively. David will also have a surprise for one of our Ocean Champions at the Blue Frontier 'Peter Benchley' Awards Luncheon.

The Blue Vision Summit is a chance for all of us to meet, grow, think, converse and become a part of our movement that will protect the oceans.

Please join us in D.C. on March 7 - 10, 2009.

Special OPEN INVITATION 4th Friday: The Blue Vision Becomes Clear

We would also like to invite you to join David Wilmot for a "Fourth Friday" conversation on Friday February 27 when he will be joined by Blue Vision Summit organizer David Helvarg. While our "Friday" calls are traditionally provided at a benefit to only members of Ocean Champions, the Summit is such an important opportunity that we want everyone to hear about it. David Helvarg will share his inspiration and aspirations for the Summit and answer any questions we may have. It will be a fun conversation and we encourage you to join us. Mark your calendars: call details will follow soon.

Find friends who are also a part of the Blue Summit on facebook!

UPDATE (2/27/09): Listen to the Podcast of the Fourth Friday Call with David Helvarg.
